AMAO STUDIOPhotography: Jad Sylla [/ux_cb_text]
Whilst not taking on the appearance of a typical home, manifestations of building life and activities, are revealed through convenient slivers of openings, evoking the curiosity of lookers-on and passers-by. This has prompted almost a daily conversation and dialogue between outsiders and the inhabitants. After entering through the compressed a-frame opening, connotations of the abrupt exterior is immediately forgotten upon arriving at the garden court, surrounded by the three pavilions. Each offering their own modest interior quality; different from the next.
The studio pavilion was cleverly designed and built on a shoe string budget around the idea of being as bold and powerful as it could be whilst containing the young couples needs of living and working from home. The space itself is know bigger than 80m2 housing a home studio, kitchen, dining, bathroom, living room, upper floor herb garden and bedroom.
